Lake County Extension Foundation is a non-profit charitable Corporation chartered by the State of Illinois. It is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Foundation the Lake County Extension Foundation. The Lake County Extension Foundation, Inc. mission is to generate resources to enhance research based educational programs of the University of Illinois Extension while serving the interest of all donors.
We are in arms that work together to raise funds to support our community through need-based programs offered by the staff of Lake County University of Illinois Extension. Lake County Extension purpose is to provide informal, non-credit research-based education to all residents in dealing with critical issues that impact their daily lives.
Extension’s four core educational program areas are 4-H and Youth Development, Nutrition/Family Economics, Agricultural/Natural Resources and Community and Economic Development. - James Reaves, who is the Extension County Director for the Lake/McHenry unit.
